Video: A Clean, Green Economic Recovery

Posted by Eric Hess
Alan Durning on economic recovery, green-collar jobs, and climate policy.
Will this economic collapse be the end of green? Or, as Thomas Friedman suggests, could green be the end of this financial calamity? Sightline's executive director (and blogger) Alan Durning addresses the economic meltdown and the potential for recovery in a new Sightline video: Our Chance at a Clean, Green Economic Recovery. Check it out:

In this five-minute video, Alan talks about paths out of the financial meltdown in the Northwest, including green-collar jobs and efficient, effective climate policy -- not only to repair our economy, but to bring fair and equitable jobs to those who need them most in Cascadia.

Thanks for telling it like it is, Alan!

I hope everyone busts out a checkbook and gives.

Thanks Alan - I hope this plays far and wide. It is vital that we all remain vigilant at this time. The devil is in the details of the cap and trade program – we are heading in the right way now but the design isn’t final. I’m glad you all are watching to help us stay alert to issues that may arise.
