City Sustainable City
Portland -- with its bike trails, light rail, and vibrant urban neighborhoods -- was chosen as the location for an announcement of a new US program focused on promoting sustainable communities. Urban farmers are digging in to change rules to support growing veggies and keeping chickens in cities. And Americans are turning in increasing numbers from the suburbs to urban centers.
