		<description><![CDATA[As a retired boomer myself who had walked to work for past 20 years, I find I&#039;m driving more now, but shorter distances. 

Euphemisms for these ultra-short drives now sprinkle my language, such as &quot;just popping out...just running down...just going out.&quot; 

So could be that while old boomers don&#039;t drive far, don&#039;t drive very much, the problem might be that the few miles they DO drive are very inefficient and gas mileage very poor.

Maybe when electric cars get cheaper, or we get infirm enough to just mobility scooters, this won&#039;t be a significant problem.]]></description>
